The mission of the Franciscan Center is to provide assistance and supportive outreach to persons who are economically disadvantaged in an effort to assist them in realizing their self-worth and dignity as people of God. Attire-4-Hire
Monday – Friday / 10:00am – 1:30pm / Bottom Floor

Men’s professional clothing for job interviews, graduations, or other formal occasions. By appointment only. To schedule, contact Debbie Reigle at dreigle@fcbmore.org or 410-467-5340 x. 120. Children’s Library
Monday – Thursday / 10:00am – 2:00pm / 2nd Floor

The Mary Lacy Fetting Children’s Library is a space for children to read, draw, or play games. All books are free for children to take home, and do not need to be returned.

Clothing & Toiletries
Men and Children: Monday & Tuesday / 10:00am – 1:00pm / Register on 2nd Floor
Women and Children: Wednesday & Thursday / 10:00am – 1:00pm / Register on 2nd Floor

We accept donations of new and gently used clothing, which is free for income-eligible guests. We also provide essential personal care items such as toothpaste, soap and shampoo, as available.

Community Dinner
Wednesday / 5:30pm – 7:00pm / 1st Floor

Computer Classes & Job Readiness
Monday – Friday / 10:00am – 1:30pm / 1st Floor

Our Technical Resource Center has 14 computers available for public use. Before 12:00pm, the computers are only available for job-related tasks such as application assistance, resume building, setting up an email address etc. For more information, please contact Debbie Reigle at dreigle@fcbmore.org or 410-467-5340 x. 120.

Eviction Prevention

Eyeglasses Assistance
Monday – Thursday / 10:00am – 2:00pm / 2nd Floor

Limited assistance available. Costs covered up to $70. Eye exam not included

GED Classes
Monday & Wednesday during the Spring  / 1:30pm – 4:30pm / 1st Floor

Health Screenings
Thursday / 10:00am – 12:00pm / 2nd Floor

HIV & STD testing and oral cancer screenings provided by the Baltimore City Health Department.

Lunch

Mail Service
Monday – Thursday / 10:00am – 2:00pm / 2nd Floor

Those in need of a secure location to collect mail may use the Franciscan Center’s address. Pick up is at the Reception Desk on the second floor. Must present ID to collect mail.

Maryland Birth Certificate
Monday – Thursday / 10:00am – 2:00pm / 2nd Floor

Limited assistance available. ID required (acceptable forms of ID include MTA ID, BGE or phone bill, medical card or record, lease, pay stub or social security card etc.).

Maryland ID
Monday – Thursday / 10:00am – 2:00pm / 2nd Floor

Limited assistance available. Must provide original birth certificate, social security card, and two pieces of mail.

Mobile Clinic
2nd & 4th Wednesdays of the month / 9:00am – 12:00pm / 101 W. 23rd Street

The Healthcare for the Homeless Mobile Clinic is parked at our 23rd Street entrance.

Monthly Pantry Bags
Monday – Thursday / 10:00am – 2:00pm / Register on 2nd Floor

Department of Social Service vouchers accepted twice a month. Limited bags available for those without a voucher (first – come, first – served).

Phone Access
Monday – Thursday / 10:00am – 2:00pm / 2nd Floor

Guests are welcome to use our phones for following up on job opportunities, making a doctor’s appointment, securing housing etc.

Prescription Referrals
Monday – Thursday / 10:00am – 2:00pm / 2nd Floor

Assistance available up to $100 every 90 days. Prescription must be filled at the Safeway Pharmacy at 2401 N. Charles Street.

Transportation Tokens (MTA)
Monday – Thursday / 10:00am – 2:00pm / 2nd Floor

Limited quantities available for health-related appointments, job interviews etc.

Utility Assistance (BGE)
Monday – Thursday / 10:00am – 2:00pm / 2nd Floor

Must first visit the Office of Home Energy Programs (OHEP) in person, then complete the form HERE. Please call 410-467-5340 for detailed instructions.

The goods and services listed above are available on a first – come, first – served basis and supplies are limited. Our staff have a wealth of information about services available throughout the city. If we are unable to meet your needs, we will do our best to find another organization that can.**
